Description
After two years of intensive research and development, it was time to boost the Gyeon Coating range to a new level. Through technological advancements in the chemical group of polysilazanes, Gyeon has managed to nearly double the durability while drastically simplifying the application process: the application and removal window has been significantly extended with the new formulations.
Even more so, all the new coatings, in their EVO version, no longer require a 2-layer application, but only a single layer. Furthermore, they can even be applied outdoors in the fresh air; a garage is no longer a mandatory requirement. The only thing needed is to ensure a dry spot for the following 12 hours and some shade for the application.
Gyeon Q² Matte EVO is a ceramic coating based on polysilazane, specially developed for matte paints and matte films. It is extremely hydrophobic and, due to its slightly thicker consistency, incredibly easy to apply.
With just a single layer, it already achieves full performance in terms of self-cleaning power and water-repellent properties. The original matte look remains completely unaffected by its entirely neutral finish.
The kit includes Q²M Cure Matte, which, like its counterpart Q²M Cure, can be used for occasional refreshing of the self-cleaning properties.

Application
The better the surface is prepared, the better the results in terms of gloss, durability, and water beading effect.
- Thorough pre-wash and decontamination using Q²M Foam, Q²M Tar, Q²M Iron, Q²M Clay
- Wash the vehicle using a strong degreasing detergent, e.g., dishwashing soap and hot water
- Remove all contaminants, waxes, and oil-based polish residues with Q²M Prep (IPA alone is not enough)
- Shake the bottle, apply a few drops of Q² Matte EVO on the wrapped velour cloth around the applicator
- Apply in a crosshatch pattern until the layer is even and uniform, working on smaller areas at a time
- After 10-30 seconds, use a fresh microfiber cloth, like Q²M BaldWipe, to polish away any excess and achieve an even finish
- After 1 hour, apply Q²M Cure Matte Spray as a topping and wipe it off with Q²M SoftWipe to protect against potential water spots
- Avoid water during the drying time (24 hours) and do not wash with car shampoo during the curing phase (14 days)
